AC Milan vs Bologna

Christian Pulisic became the 1st Milan’s player to score more than 10 goals in his first two Serie A campaigns with the Rossoneri since Luciano Chiarugi (1972/73 and 1973/74), excluding the centre forwards – 12 ones in 2023/24 and 11 in the current one.

Christian Pulisic (23G+17A) is just one of the two Serie A players – alongside with his teammate Rafael Leão (17G+17A) – to score more than 15 goals and provide more than 15 assists from the beginning of last top-flight.

Prior Riccardo Orsolini (13) the last Italian Bologna’s player to score as many goals in a single Serie A campaign was Alberto Gilardino in 2012/13 (13 ones also for him).

After a run of 13 wins and four draws against Bologna, Milan lost their most recent league match against them in February; the Rossoblu last won both games against the Rossoneri in a Serie A season back in 1939-40.

Milan have drawn two of their last three home games in Serie A against Bologna (W1), as many draws as across their previous 16 matches at San Siro in the competition against this opposition (W11 L3).

Milan have won their last two Serie A matches and will be looking to win three in succession for just the second time in the top-flight this season, after victories over Venezia, Inter and Lecce under Paulo Fonseca in September.

Milan lost their last home game in Serie A (0-1 v Atalanta) and last suffered two consecutive home defeats between October-November 2023 in the league. The Rossoneri have also lost two of their last four home games in the competition (W1 D1), as many defeats as in their previous 27 such matches combined (W15 D10).

Bologna have won 62 points so far in the league and they can potentially still surpass their record at the end of the season in the three points for a win era (68 in 2023-24). They currently have 16 wins, while in the last Serie A season at this point, they had collected 17.
