Angers vs Monaco

Following seven defeats in a row, Angers beat Monaco in the reverse fixture (1-0) and could win back-to-back games against ASM in the top-flight for the first time since 1972-1973 (2).

Angers are winless in their last seven home matches against Monaco in Ligue 1 (D2 L5, including the most recent 3), only against Toulouse (8) and Paris SG (13) are they on a longer run. Meanwhile, only against PSG are they on a longer run of home defeats in L1 (7).

Looking at the current Ligue 1 table, Angers have the toughest schedule in Ligue 1 until the end of the season, with future opponents ranked in 8th place and having 39 points on average.

While only Paris SG (34) had taken more points than Monaco over the first 14 matchday’s this season (29, like Marseille), ASM have the ninth best record since MD15 with 15 points, one more than Angers.
