Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Bournemouth have completed the league double over Arsenal, with today the first time they’ve ever avoided defeat away against the Gunners in all competitions (L8).

Arsenal have dropped 21 points from winning positions in the Premier League this season, their joint-most ever in a single campaign (also 21 in 2019-20).

Arsenal have lost a Premier League home game in which they were ahead at half-time for the first time since January 2022 (1-2 vs Man City), having been unbeaten in 63 before today (W53 D10).

Arsenal have won all eight of their home games against Bournemouth in all competitions, scoring 23 goals and conceding just four.

Bournemouth have kept just one clean sheet in their 15 Premier League meetings with Arsenal, though it was a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture this season.

Arsenal have lost just one of their last 35 Premier League games on the weekend immediately following a midweek European match (W24 D10), going down 2-0 at home to Aston Villa in April last year.

Arsenal have failed to win nine Premier League games in which they led so far this season (D9), more than they had in the previous two campaigns combined (4 in 2022-23, 4 in 2023-24). They’ve never failed to win 10 games from ahead in a single season before.

Though they’re unbeaten in four (W1 D3), Bournemouth have won just one of their last nine Premier League games (D4 L4). It’s a run that has seen the Cherries drop from 5th to 10th in the league table.
