Roma have drawn their last two season openers (against Salernitana and Cagliari) and could draw at least three times in a row their first season Serie A match for the first time since the period between September 1986 and August 1989 (four in that case).

Bologna have won only two of their last 15 Serie A season openers (5D, 8L): on August 22nd 2021 against Salernitana and on August 21, 2016 against Crotone.
