AC Milan are unbeaten in their last 17 Serie A games against Bologna (W13 D4), since a 1-0 loss in January 2016 at the San Siro; that is AC’s longest active unbeaten streak against any current top-flight opponent. Overall only against three teams do they have a longer active streak without losing in the competition (SPAL - 26, Catania – 26 and Chievo – 25).
Bologna avoided defeat in their most recent Serie A match against AC Milan (2-2 in January) but have not avoided defeat in back-to-back matches against the Rossoneri in the competition since doing so between 2011 and 2012 (two draws in a row under Stefano Pioli).
Bologna have not won any of their last 18 home Serie A games against AC Milan (D5 L13), with their last such success coming at Dall'Ara Stadium in March 2002 (2-0); only against Juventus (21) have the Rossoblù recorded a longer winless streak at home without winning in the Italian top-flight.
Following their 2-2 draw last time out against Genoa, Bologna have now drawn six of their opening eight Serie A games for just the second time in their history, also doing so 1989/90. However they have never recorded seven draws in their first nine games of an Italian top-flight campaign.
AC Milan have won only one of their first four away games (D1 L2) in Serie A this season; the last time the Rossoneri only won one of thier first five away league games in a campaign was in 2018/19.
