Brentford recorded only their second Premier League win over Brighton and Hove Albion (D3 L3), and their first since a 2-0 home victory in October 2022.
Brentford recorded their first home league win since December against Newcastle United (4-2), ending a run of eight matches without a win (D3 L5).
After a run of four successive wins in February/March, Brighton and Hove Albion are winless in their last five league games (D2 L3), their second-longest run of the season after an eight-game run from November to January (D6 L2).
Brentford have won just one of their seven Premier League games against Brighton (D3 L3), a 2-0 home win in October 2022.
The last two Premier League meetings between Brentford and Brighton have finished 0-0 – only four fixtures in the competition’s history have finished goalless in three times in a row: Arsenal v QPR (1992-1994), Aston Villa v Manchester United (1996-1997), Coventry v Sheffield Wednesday (1996-1997) and Charlton v Middlesbrough (2001-2002).
