Brighton and Hove Albion are unbeaten on the opening day of the Premier League season in each of the last five campaigns (W4 D1), with today the first time they’ve drawn their opening Premier League game (W5 L3 prior).
Since the start of last season, only Liverpool and Brighton and Hove Albion (both 23) have earned more points from losing positions than Fulham (22), avoiding defeat in three of the last six league games in which they’ve conceded first (W2 D1 L3).
Only Liverpool (9) have won more penalties in the Premier League than Brighton since the start of last season (8), with the Seagulls scoring each one.
Brighton beat Fulham 2-1 in March, ending a nine-game winless run against the Cottagers in the Premier League (D4 L5).
Fulham have won just one of their last seven away league games against Brighton (D3 L3), beating them 1-0 in February 2023.

Brighton have won their opening league match in each of the last four seasons. It’s the Seagulls’ longest such run in their league history, and the longest current run of any Premier League side.
Fulham have won their opening league match in just one of the last eight campaigns (D3 L4), winning 1-0 at Everton in 2023-24.
