Turf Moor - Burnley
Burnley have now gone 26 home league games without conceding more than once, since a 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in May 2024.
Nottingham Forest averaged 63.3% possession against Burnley, their highest in a Premier League match since their return to the division in 2022.
Jaidon Anthony has three goals and one assist so far this season, the joint-most goal involvements by a player in Burnley’s first five games of a Premier League campaign (Ashley Barnes also 4 in 2019-20).
Both sides have scored in six of the last seven league meetings between Burnley and Nottingham Forest, with the only exception a 1-0 win for the Clarets in the Championship in February 2016.
After their 2-1 win at Turf Moor on the final day of the 2023-24 season, Nottingham Forest could win back-to-back league meetings against Burnley for the first time since September 2003, and first time in the top-flight since March 1967. The Tricky Trees have never previously won back-to-back league visits to Burnley, with this their 52nd trip.
Burnley have lost six of their last seven Premier League games (W1), while only two of their last seven wins in the competition have come against sides that aren’t newly promoted; Fulham in December 2023 (2-0) and Brentford in March 2024 (2-1).
Nottingham Forest have lost each of their last two Premier League games 3-0; not since March 2024 have they lost three successive league games. Indeed, the Tricky Trees are also without a clean sheet in their previous 12 league games, after keeping eight in their prior 14 matches.
Since the start of 2023-24, the only manager to see his side concede more goals in the opening five minutes of the second half than Ange Postecoglu (8) is Andoni Iraola (10). In his first game in charge of Nottingham Forest last week, Viktor Gyökeres scored for Arsenal in the 46th minute.
