Chelsea vs Fulham

Fulham won a Premier League away game at Stamford Bridge for the first time in 18 attempts (D6 L11), their first away victory against the Blues in any competition since October 1979 in the Second tier.

Chelsea have lost three of their last four Premier League games on Boxing Day (W1), more defeats than in their previous 22 such matches (W12 D8 L2).

Rodrigo Muniz’ 95th minute strike for Fulham (94:15) was the latest winning goal against Chelsea in the Premier League since Pedro Neto for Wolves in December 2020 (94:42), while it was first the time Chelsea have conceded a 90th minute winner at home in the competition since February 2003 (David Dunn for Blackburn).

Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 19 home league games against Fulham (W12 D7) since a 2-0 loss in the second tier in October 1979.

Fulham have won just two of their 34 Premier League games against Chelsea (D11 L21), with their 6% win rate against the Blues the lowest any side has another in the competition’s history (min. 20 meetings).

Chelsea have lost two of their last three Premier League games on Boxing Day, as many as they had in their previous 22 such matches (W12 D8). They did win 3-1 at Aston Villa in their last such match in 2021, however.

In a run stretching back to 1984, Chelsea have won just two of their last 11 London derby matches played on Boxing Day (D5 L4), going on to win the title in both campaigns in which they did (3-2 v Fulham in 2005-06, 2-0 v West Ham in 2014-15).

Fulham have lost just one of their last seven Premier League games on Boxing Day (W2 D4), though that defeat did come at Bournemouth in last season’s fixture (0-3).
