Lazio have won three away wins in a row in Serie A for the first time since November 2022 (four in that case). That was also the last occasion on which the Biancocelesti won at least three consecutive away games with a clean sheet in the competition (four).
Thanks to Boulaye Dia's goal (53"), Lazio returned to score a goal in the 1st minute of a Serie A match for the first time since 14 March 1998: Vladimir Jugovic against Sampdoria away in that case.
Boulaye Dia has scored in two consecutive Serie A away games for the first time since January 2023 (in a Salernitana shirt, against Atalanta and Lecce in that case).
In the last 12 matches between Empoli and Lazio in Serie A, there have been 10 Biancocelesti wins and two draws: the Tuscan club's last win against the Capitoline team in the competition was back on 29th November 2015 (1-0 with goal by Lorenzo Tonelli).
Lazio have won each of their last five Serie A matches at the Castellani stadium against Empoli, scoring 10 goals (two per match) and keeping three clean sheets in the period; previously, the Biancocelesti had won only two of their first nine away matches against the Tuscans (D3 L4).
The last Empoli win in Serie A was back on 8th December 2024 against Hellas Verona: 19 games in a row without a win (D6 L13) is the worst such record for the Tuscan club in Serie A; in addition, the last time the azzurri won a match against a club avove them in the standings was the last MD of Serie A 2023/24 (2-1 against Roma).
Lazio are one of the four teams in the current league season (with Atalanta, Empoli and Hellas Verona) with more points gained in away games than in home matches; the Biancocelesti have won their last two away games and the last time they won three consecutive matches on the road in Serie A was back in November 2022 (four in that case).
In the first half of the season, Lazio had an average points per game of 1.84 (35 in 19 games); while in the second half of the season it’s 1.67 (25 in 15 games). The Biancocelesti's goals per game average has also dropped, from 1.74 to 1.60.
