Espanyol vs Alaves

Espanyol have not lost any of their last seven home games against Alavés in LaLiga (W5 D2), their best unbeaten run at home against them in the top-flight.

Following their 2-1 win at Mendizorroza in May 2022, Deportivo Alavés have the chance to win back-to-back matches against Espanyol in LaLiga for only the second time in history, after three wins consecutively between 2001 and 2003.

Alavés have only won in two of their 16 away games against Espanyol in LaLiga (D3 L11), both under José Manuel Esnal, Mané: 3-2 in November 1999 and 2-1 in March 2002.

Espanyol have won just one of their last seven LaLiga matches (D4 L2), a 2-1 win against Rayo Vallecano in their last game. Espanyol have not won back-to-back games in the competition since February 2023 under Diego Martínez.

Alavés have taken seven points in LaLiga in  2024/25 (W2 D1 L1), equalling their highest points tally after their first four games of a season in the competition in the 21st Century, also winning seven in 2001/02 under José Manuel Esnal and in 2018/19 under Abelardo Fernández.
