Ipswich Town remain the only side across the top four tiers of English football without a league win in 2025, drawing two and losing eight of their 10 Premier League matches since the turn of the year.
Nottingham Forest have won 54 points from their 29 Premier League games this season. In the competition’s history, only four teams have failed to finish in the top five having won as many points at this stage of the campaign: Newcastle in 1994-95, Liverpool in 2014-15 and Man Utd in 2016-17 and 2018-19 (all finishing 6th).
Nottingham Forest have gone 1-0 up in a league high 22 Premier League matches this season and have found themselves 3+ goals ahead at half time in three different games this term (also vs Southampton in January & Brighton in February).
Ipswich have lost just one of their last seven home league games against Nottingham Forest (W4 D2), while this is the first time they’re hosting them in the top-flight since a 1-0 loss in August 1994.
Nottingham Forest are looking to complete the league double over Ipswich for the first time since 2016-17 in the Championship. They also won both meetings with the Tractor Boys the last time they met in the Premier League (1994-95, with Forest finishing third and Ipswich being relegated).
Ipswich haven’t won any of their last 14 Premier League games against sides in the top three of the table since a 1-0 win against Liverpool at Anfield in January 1995 (D2 L12). Those 12 defeats in that run have come by an aggregate score of 40-3.
Between March 1996 and the end of the 2022-23 campaign, Nottingham Forest won none of their 15 Premier League games against promoted sides (D9 L6). Since the start of last season they’re unbeaten in 10 such matches (W7 D3), winning the last six in a row.
Ipswich are only side in England’s top four tiers without a league win so far in 2025 (D2 L7). It’s their longest run without a league victory from the start of a calendar year in their history.
