Lecce vs Como

Since the start of last season, Assane Diao (11 goals, including eight with Como and three with Real Betis) is one of two players born from 2005 onward capable of reaching double figures in goals scored in the five major European leagues, after Lamine Yamal (11, born in 2007).

-Since his tournament debut (Jan. 10), only Mateo Retegui (11) has scored more goals than Assane Diao in Serie A (eight).

Among players who have scored more than five goals and provided more than five assists this season in the five major European leagues, only Lamine Yamal (6G 11A - class of 2007) is younger than Nico Paz (6G 6A - class of 2004).

Among the teams against whom Como have never lost in Serie A, Lecce are the one they have faced the most: four wins and a draw for the Lariani.

Como have faced Lecce twice away from home in Serie A, between 1985 and 1989: a 4-1 away victory in the first match and a 0-0 draw in the most recent one.

In the last seven league matchdays, Lecce have won only one point, thanks to the draw against Venezia on the weekend of 21-23 February; in the top-5 European Leagues only Montpellier (7) have suffered more defeats than Lecce (6 – equal with Leicester, Monza, Real Valladolid and Southampton).

Lecce have failed to score in five of their last seven home league games; in the top-5 European Leagues in 2025 only Leicester City (6) have failed to score in more home games than the Giallorossi (5 – same as Alavés, Hellas Verona and Venezia).

For the third time in Serie A this season, Como have won two consecutive games; the Lariani have not achieved three consecutive successes in Serie A since the period between May and June 1952 (a run of three).
