Elland Road - Leeds
Leeds United failed to win a home league game against Bournemouth for the first time ever, after winning each of the previous seven, which was their best 100% home record against any side.
Bournemouth have won just two of their last nine Premier League away games (D4 L3), this after winning five of their seven before that (D2).
Leeds directed eight shots on target in the game, last directing more on target in a single Premier League game in September 2021 against Newcastle United (9).
Leeds United have won all seven of their home league games against Bournemouth, scoring 18 goals in the process; it’s the most they’ve faced a side on home soil with a 100% win rate in their league history.
The last league match between Leeds United and Bournemouth saw the Cherries win 4-1 in April 2023 in what was Javi Gracia’s final game in charge of the Whites. Bournemouth have never won back-to-back league meetings with the Yorkshire club.
After three goalless Premier League games, Leeds won 3-1 against Wolves last time out – the Whites last netted 3+ goals in back-to-back top-flight games in November 2022, one of which was at home against Bournemouth (won 4-3); the other saw them lose 4-3 away at Spurs.
Bournemouth have made their joint best start to a Premier League campaign after five games (10 points – W3 D1 L1), along with the 10 points they picked up in 2018-19. It’s the first time the Cherries will go into a Premier League game as high as fourth when they’ve played more than two games in a season.
Leeds are yet to concede a goal at Elland Road in the Premier League this season. The only two newly promoted clubs to keep a clean sheet in their first three games of a season are Swansea in 2011-12 and Watford in 2015-16.
