Monaco is now guaranteed to finish on the podium at the end of the season for the 31st time in their Ligue 1 history, more than any other team in the competition.

Lyon will finish a Ligue 1 season outside the podium for the sixth time in a row, a first since 1976-1983 (8).

Monaco have won 71% of their home matches in Ligue 1 2024-25 (12/17 - D3 L2), their highest ratio since 2017-18 (79% - 15/19).

Monaco and Lyon will meet for the 117th time in Ligue 1, the opponents the two teams have faced the most in the division. Monaco have won 48 of these encounters, winning more only against Rennes and Strasbourg (50 each), but have lost 44 times to OL, the opponent who has beaten them the most.

Monaco have lost just one of their last nine Ligue 1 games (W5 D3), having lost four of their previous eight (W3 D1).

Lyon have lost two of their last three Ligue 1 games (1-2 v St Etienne, 1-2 v Lens), which is as many as in their previous nine (W7).

According to the Opta predictor, Lyon now has just a 5.8% chance of finishing in one of the top four places in Ligue 1 and thus qualifying for the Champions League or its preliminary rounds. Should OL fail to do so, it would complete a sixth season in a row without this, something that had only happened three times between 1999 and 2019 (4th in 2011/12, 5th in 2013/14, 4th in 2016/17).

Monaco are one of two teams unbeaten at home in Ligue 1 in 2025 with Strasbourg. ASM could kept three clean sheets in a row at the Stade Louis-II for the first time since January-February 2022 (3 including one against Lyon).
