Monaco vs Rennes

After Tuesday's 1-0 win over Aston Villa in the Champions League, Monaco remain on a run of two consecutive wins in all competitions, after winning just two of their previous 11 games in all comps (D3 L6).

Rennes have 12 defeats after 19 Ligue 1 2024-25 matches (W5 D2), their highest tally at this stage since 1983/84 (also 12). Eight of the ten teams with exactly 12 defeats after 19 games of an L1 season in the 21st century have been relegated, the exceptions being St Etienne in 2008-09 and Montpellier in 2022-23.

Monaco have recorded their first Ligue 1 win in 2025, following a 2-2 draw at Nantes and a 1-2 defeat at Montpellier. On the other hand, ASM have conceded ten goals in their last four Ligue 1 matches, as many as in their previous ten.

Monaco have lost just one of their last 14 Ligue 1 encounters against Rennes (W10 D3), which was on 7 October 2018 (1-2). Moreover, ASM have found the net in their last 15 meetings on home soil against SRFC in the top-flight.
