Montpellier vs Nantes

Nantes are unbeaten in their first three games of a Ligue 1 season for only the second time in the 21st century after having managed to do so in 2015/16 (14th at the end of the campaign).

Montpellier are winless in their first three games in Ligue 1 2024/25 (D1 L2), a first since the 2015/16 season (L3, 12th at the end of the season).

Montpellier have already conceded 10 goals after three games in Ligue 1 2024/25, Eight of the last nine teams who have conceded 10+ goals at this stage have been relegated at the end of the season.

Montpellier have won only one of their last seven home games against Nantes in Ligue 1 (D3 L3) after winning six of their previous seven (D1).

Montpellier have conceded seven goals in their first two Ligue 1 matches for the second time in three seasons (after 2022-23), which had never happened to them in their first 30 seasons in the top-flight.

Montpellier have won only two of their nine home matches in Ligue 1 in 2024 (D4 L3), only Nantes (1) have fewer wins on home soil in the top-flight this year among the teams present over the entire period.

Nantes have failed to score in each of their last three away matches in Ligue 1, and have not endured a longer such run away from home in the top-flight since between February and April 2019 (4).

After not conceding a goal against Toulouse (0-0) and Auxerre (2-0), Nantes could keep three consecutive clean sheets in Ligue 1 for the first time since between December 2022 and January 2023 (5). Les Canaris have only started a season like this twice in the top-flight, in 1993-94 and 2015-16.
