Napoli have won a Serie A home game without conceding for the first time since August 2023 (2-0 against Sassuolo in that case).

Bologna have lost two of their last four Serie A games (D2), as many as in their previous 18 (W10 D6).

Bologna (1D, 1L) have failed to win both of their first two seasonal Serie A games for the third season in a row, after 2022/23 and 2023/24.

Bologna are unbeaten in their last three league games against Napoli (W1 D2); the last time the Rossoblu were unbeaten in four league matches in a row against the Azzurri in Serie A was between 1997 and 2001 (five – W4, D1).

Bologna kept a clean sheet in both games against Napoli last season (0-0 at the Dall’Ara and 2-0 at the Maradona in the second leg); the Emilians have never recorded three consecutive clean sheets against the Partenopei in Serie A.

After the 2-0 win at the Maradona in May 2024, Bologna could win consecutive away games against Napoli for the second time in their history in Serie A – the first was between 1935 and 1936, under legendary Árpád Weisz.

Napoli have lost their first Serie A match of the season for the first time since 2015/16 (1-2 against Sassuolo, under Maurizio Sarri). Only once in the three points for a win era (since 1994/95) have they registered two defeats in their first two games of a single Serie A campaign: in 2000/01, under Zdenek Zeman (lost first three against Juventus, Inter and Bologna).

Napoli have failed to win in their last eight league games (D5 L3); the last time they recorded more consecutive matches without winning in Serie A was between January and April 2009 (14 in that case – D6 L8).
