Everton have ended a Premier League campaign with three successive wins for the very first time. Prior to this run, the Toffees had won just two of their previous 12 league games (W7 L3).

Since 19th January (Everton’s first win since David Moyes’ return), only three sides have won more Premier League points than the Toffees (31).

Having lost six of their nine home league games against Everton between 2011 and 2019 (W3), Newcastle are now unbeaten in their last four against the Toffees (W3 D1).

Everton have only kept more clean sheets against West Ham (23) and Liverpool (21) than they have against Newcastle in the Premier League (18).

Newcastle have won their final league game in eight of the last 10 seasons (D1 L1), with the exceptions being a 3-1 loss against Liverpool (2019-20) and a 1-1 draw with Chelsea (2022-23).

Everton have only won their final league game in one of the last eight seasons (D1 L6), beating Bournemouth 1-0 in 2022-23.

Victory for Newcastle will guarantee them qualification for next season’s UEFA Champions League, the second time in the last three seasons they’ll have done so having only done so twice previously (1997-98 and 2002-03).
