Only Brentford (12, before Arsenal game) have picked up more points on the road in the Premier League than Everton (11) since David Moyes’ first away match in charge since returning to the club (25th January), with the Toffees’ 11 points on the road under Moyes four more than they managed under Sean Dyche this term.
Nottingham Forest have lost only their third Premier League home match of the season, with this their first defeat at the City Ground since losing 1-3 to Newcastle United in November 2024.
Abdoulaye Doucoure’s goal (93:03) was Everton’s latest winning goal away from home in the Premier League on record (since 2006/07).
Following their 2-0 win at Goodison Park in December, Nottingham Forest are looking to complete their first league double over Everton since 1994-95.
Everton have won three of their last four away league games against Nottingham Forest (D1), as many as they had in their previous 29 visits to the City Ground (D6 L20).
Everton have only won two of their last 67 Premier League away games at sides starting the day in the top three in the table (D22 L43). Under David Moyes, they have won just one of 36 league matches against top three sides (D13 L22), beating third-place Manchester City 2-1 in December 2010.
Nottingham Forest have won seven of their last nine Premier League home games (D2), more than their previous 24 beforehand (W6 D7 L11). The Tricky Trees have also kept a clean sheet in each of their last four at the City Ground, last recording more in a row at home in the top-flight in May 1980 under Brian Clough (8).
Six of Everton’s last eight Premier League games have been drawn (W1 L1), while the Toffees have drawn 14 league matches overall this season. Only in 1994-95 (17), 2010-11 (15), and 2012-13 (15) have they drawn more Premier League matches in a single campaign.
