Parma vs AC Milan

Parma beat Milan in Serie A for the first time since 16 March 2014 (4-2); since then, they had collected two points in eight matches against the Rossoneri.

For the first time since 2011-12 Milan have won any of the first two games played in a Serie A season – reaching 1 point also in that case.

Milan have won just one of their last 11 matches in all competitions (D5 L5), keeping just one clean sheet in this period (0-0 v Juventus, on last 27 April).

Milan have scored in each of their last 16 Serie A matches against Parma (38 goals, 2.4 per game); only against Triestina (17) and Catania (18) do the Rossoneri have a longer current scoring streak in the top flight.

Milan have won 29 Serie A matches against Parma (D14 L11), only Roma (33) have achieved more wins against them in the competition. The Rossoneri are unbeaten in their eight most recent meetings with the Crociati (W6 D2), after losing two games in a row in 2013/14.

Milan have won their last two away games against Parma in Serie A and have only done better once in the top flight against them: between 2004 and 2006 when they achieved three away successes in a row under Carlo Ancelotti.

After the 1-1 home draw against Fiorentina, this will be the first time that Parma start a Serie A season with two home games; they have not drawn both of their first two games of a top flight campaign since 2001/02.

Milan drew their first Serie A match this season, but in the last 12 campaigns have always found at least one win in the first two games played; the last season without a win in the first two for the Rossoneri was 2011/12 (draw against Lazio and defeat against Napoli).
