Plymouth vs Stoke City

Plymouth are unbeaten in their last nine home league games against Stoke (W5 D4), since a 3-1 loss in May 1987.

Following a 3-0 home win in April, Stoke are looking to win consecutive league games against Plymouth for the first time since October 1987.

Plymouth Argyle are winless in their three league games under Wayne Rooney this season (D2 L1), last starting a league campaign without winning their opening four matches in 2018-19 when they went on to be relegated to League Two (D2 L2).

Stoke City have lost back-to-back Championship matches and could lose three in a row in the competition for the first time since February (run of 4).

This will be Steven Schumacher’s second managerial meeting with former club Plymouth Argyle, who he left midway through last season before beating them 3-0 at home in April. The Stoke City coach also beat Wayne Rooney’s Birmingham City 3-1 away from home last term.
