Rangers have progressed from the group stage of a major European competition for the fifth time in the last six attempts, reaching the final of the UEFA Europa League in 2021-22 but failing at the group stage in the UEFA Champions League in 2022-23.
Union Saint-Gilloise have made it to the knockout stages in two of their three UEFA Europa League campaigns, also doing so in 2022-23 when they eventually were knocked out by Bayer Leverkusen at the quarter final stage.
