Rayo Vallecano vs Real Sociedad

Rayo Vallecano have gone seven straight home games without a win against Real Sociedad in LaLiga (D3 L4) since a 1-0 win in October 2013 under Paco Jémez, their longest winless run at home to Los Donostiarras in the top-flight. Only against Valencia (six) has Imanol Alguacil had more draws in his career as a manager in the competition than vs Rayo Vallecano (five).

Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi has scored two goals in this LaLiga season, both against Rayo Vallecano, with just two shots on target (one in August 2014 at  Reale Arena and another today in Vallecas). This is the first time in the competition that he has scored against an opponent in both matches in a single season.

Real Sociedad have lost their last two games in LaLiga, failing to score in both, while they have not lost three games without scoring in succession in the competition since December 2021.
