Red Bull Arena - Leipzig
TSG Hoffenheim won 4-3 in the reverse fixture against RB Leipzig earlier this season and are now unbeaten in two Bundesliga games against them (W1, D1) – TSG have never avoided defeat in three consecutive meetings with RBL. However, Hoffenheim are winless in their last six Bundesliga trips to Leipzig (D2, L4) and have lost each of their last three away games against the Red Bulls.
With 42 points after 27 games, this is currently RB Leipzig’s worst-ever Bundesliga season. Meanwhile, with 27 points and a -16 goal difference, this is TSG Hoffenheim’s second-worst record after 27 Bundesliga matchdays (20 points in 2012/13).
RB Leipzig have won just two of their last 11 Bundesliga matches (D6, L3), with no side in the division recording fewer wins during that timeframe (Heidenheim and Kiel also 2). The 1-0 defeat at Gladbach last time out saw RBL fail to score for the seventh time in the league this season – they have only been worse off across an entire campaign in 2018/19 (9 games).
Since Christian Ilzer took charge in November 2024, TSG Hoffenheim have claimed 11 points after going behind, including in their 1-1 draw with Augsburg last time out – a league high in that timeframe. During that same period, only VfB Stuttgart (13) have dropped more points from winning positions than RB Leipzig (11).
RB Leipzig have conceded five goals in the final 15 minutes of Bundesliga games this season – a joint league low together with Augsburg. However, two of those came in the reverse fixture against TSG Hoffenheim. 12% of the goals TSG have conceded have come in the final 15 minutes (6 of 49) – a league low proportionally.
