Rennes have won a Ligue 1 game after receiving a red card before half-time match for the second time in the 21st century, following a 2-1 win against Paris SG on 17 November 2012 (Benoît Costil sent off after 26 minutes).

Marseille have lost a Ligue 1 game for the first time since 12 April in Monaco (0-3), ending a five-match unbeaten run in the top-flight (4W 1D). This is OM's 800th defeat in L1 (1206W 679D), making them the ninth team to reach this tally in the history of the league.
