Sassuolo vs Udinese

Sassuolo have won two home games in a row in Serie A for the first time since September 2023.

Udinese have lost five of their last eight away games in Serie A (W3), despite starting this campaign with two wins in their opening three.

Sassuolo have won two of their last three Serie A games (L1), as many wins as they had in their previous 21 matches in the competition (including 2023/24 season).

Udinese are one of two teams, along with Cagliari, against whom Sassuolo have drawn the most games in Serie A: 10, including the last three – completing four Neroverdi wins and eight Bianconeri victories in 22 meetings between the two teams.

Udinese are unbeaten in each of their last 12 Serie A matches against Sassuolo (W5 D7), their last win in this tie coming back in March 17, 2018 (2-1 at home to the Bianconeri); only against Genoa (between 2016 and 2023) have they gone 13 consecutive matches without losing against a single opponent in their history in the top flight.

Sassuolo have won only one of their 11 Serie A matches at the MAPEI Stadium against Udinese (D6 L4): 1-0 on 25 September 2016 with a goal from Grégoire Defrel under Eusebio Di Francesco.

Sassuolo have lost three of their four games in Serie A this season (1W) and only once have they recorded four defeats in their first five Serie A games of the season: in 2013/14, their first season in the top flight.

Since last March, only Monza (10) have lost more matches than Udinese (nine, tied with Lecce) in Serie A; in the same period, only the Brianza team (26) have conceded more goals than the Friulians (24) in the top Italian league.
