Lumen Field - Seattle, Washington
This will be the 42nd all-time meeting between the Reign and Thorns in all competitions, the most played match between two NWSL teams. Portland is unbeaten in five straight meetings with Seattle in all competitions (W3 D2), its longest unbeaten run in the series. The Thorns have kept clean sheets in all five of those matches, the first NWSL team to keep five straight clean sheets against a single opponent.
Seattle’s starting lineup on Saturday against Orlando had an average age of 24 years, 110 days, the youngest of any starting XI in the NWSL this season and the youngest for the Reign since June 16, 2013 (23 years, 353 days vs. Portland), the club’s 10th match.
After conceding three times in its season-opening loss at Kansas City, Portland has allowed just one goal in its last three matches, keeping clean sheets in two in a row. The Thorns are looking to keep three straight clean sheets within a single regular season for the first time since July-August 2021.
Lynn Biyendolo, who made her Seattle Reign debut on Saturday, has scored 13 goals in 23 all-time matches against Portland in all competitions, the most goals any player has scored against the Thorns. In fact, only three players have scored more goals against a single NWSL foe than Biyendolo has against Portland.
Reilyn Turner attempted five shots and scored the game’s only goal in Portland’s victory over Utah on Friday. Turner has attempted 14 shots with a total expected goals value of 3.11, both second best in the NWSL in 2025, while her 32 touches in the opponent’s box are the most by any player this season.
