Brest have won four of their last five matches in all competitions (L1), after losing their previous five (W1).

Lyon have lost two of their last three Ligue 1 matches (W1), one more than in their previous 12 (W7 D4 L1). Les Gones have lost two consecutive away matches in L1 (after their 3-1 defeat at Paris SG) for the first time since December 2023, on their first 2 trips under Pierre Sage (at Lens then Marseille).

Brest have won six of its first nine Ligue 1 home matches (D1 L2) for the second time in the last five seasons (after 2020-21 - also D1 L2), which only happened to them once in their first 14 seasons in the top-flight (in 1989-90 - W6 D1 L2).

Brest have won just six of their 25 matches against Lyon in Ligue 1 (D8 L11), but all of their victories have come at home (13 - D4 L3). The Bretons have the opportunity to win consecutive home games against Lyon in L1 for the first time since 1979-1982 (3).

Brest have nine fewer points after 16 Ligue 1 matches in 2024/25 (19) than at the same stage last season (28), the biggest negative differential among the teams present in the top flight over the period. Conversely, Lyon have the best differential (+15 - 28 points in 2024/25 compared with 13 in 2023/24).

Brest have conceded just 16 goals at home in Ligue 1 in 2024, no team has a lower total among those present in the top flight all year round. However, Les Bretons are still on a run of four consecutive home games without a clean sheet and could make it five for the first time since May-October 2022 (7).
