Strasbourg have lost only two of their 12 Ligue 1 games against Nantes (W8 D2) since the start of the 2019-20 season, their lowest tally among teams faced at least 10 times in the top-flight level during that period.
Strasbourg have won their first two Ligue 1 games of the season for the first time since 1992-93.
Nantes have won only one of their last eight Ligue 1 games (D3 L4), after winning four of the previous nine (L5). They have lost their first two matches of a L1 season for the sixth time in their 20 campaigns in the top-flight level in the 21st century, four more than in the previous century (in 38 seasons).
Strasbourg have won each of their last three Ligue 1 matches against Nantes (twice 3-1 followed by a 1-0) and could make it four in a row for the very first time against this opponent in the top-flight.
Strasbourg won their last home game against Nantes in Ligue 1 (3-1 in October 2024) but have recorded consecutive wins at home against the Canaries in the top-flight only once over the last 40 years: in April-September 2003 (2).
Strasbourg will play a European match in midweek against Brøndby, a first for the Alsatians since three qualifying rounds for the Europa League in the summer of 2019. At that time, RCSA had not won any of the four Ligue 1 matches that directly followed one of these European encounters (D3 L1).
After winning at Metz in the first round, Strasbourg could start a Ligue 1 season with consecutive victories for the first time since 1992/93.
Strasbourg have scored at least two goals in each of their last six Ligue 1 home matches (15 in total) and have not recorded a longer such run since September-November 1996 (7).
