Udinese vs Lazio

Udinese have won the first home match of a single Serie A championship for the first time since 2019/20 (1-0 vs Milan).

For the first time Florian Thauvin has scored a goal and provided an assist in a single Serie A match. The Frenchman has been involved in five goals in the last seven matches of the competition (two goals and three assists), as many participations as in the previous 40 matches played in the tournament.

Lazio is the only team against which Florian Thauvin has provided more than one assist in Serie A (two); the Biancoceleste team is also the only one against which the Frenchman has been involved in more than one goal in the tournament (three – one goal and two winning passes).

Only against Atalanta and Cagliari (27) have Udinese won more Serie A games than they have against Lazio (26 – D23 L41), while only against Sampdoria (121) have they scored more goals (113).

Udinese won their last Serie A match against Lazio (2-1 in March) and the last time the Bianconeri had won at least two games in a row against the Biancocelesti in the competition was between 2004 and 2005 (3).

Lazio are unbeaten in their last 11 Serie A away games against Udinese (W8 D3), their longest such run in the competition. Since the 2013-14 campaign, they have more away wins against the Bianconeri than against any other opponent (8).

Udinese are unbeaten in their last six league games (W2 D4) and have not done better in Serie A since October 2022: nine matches in that case, the last of which was against Lazio (0-0).

Udinese drew their opening Serie A game this season, and have failed to win either of their first two matches in each of the last two seasons. They last failed to do so in more consecutive campaigns between 1979 and 1982 (4).
