Verona vs Sassuolo

Hellas Verona (D3 L3 this season) have failed to win their first six games in a single Serie A campaign for the fifth time in their history, after 1978/79, 1989/90, 2015/16, and 2017/18.

Sassuolo have won two consecutive Serie A games for the first time since September 2023 (with Alessio Dionisi as coach).

Only against Roma (five) has Andrea Pinamonti been involved in more goals than against Hellas Verona (four, two goals and two assists) in Serie A.

Hellas Verona have won three of their last five Serie A matches (W3 L2) against Sassuolo, after failing to win any of their previous six (D1 L5) against them in the competition.

After four consecutive Serie A defeats at the Bentegodi against Sassuolo, Hellas Verona have won their last two home games against the Neroverdi and could record three consecutive home wins against them in the top-flight for the first time.

Hellas Verona have won only one of their last 14 Serie A matches (W1 D8 L5), a 2-1 victory away to Empoli in May. They could fail to win their opening six matches of a Serie A season (D3 L2 so far) for the fifth time in their history, following 1978/79, 1989/90, 2015/16 and 2017/18. In all four of those previous campaigns, Hellas Verona were relegated to Serie B.

Hellas Verona have drawn six of their last seven Serie A matches at the Bentegodi (D6 L1), including each of their last four, and could draw at least five consecutive home games in the competition for only the second time, after a run of seven between November 1972 and March 1973.

Sassuolo have won two of their last three Serie A matches (W2 L1), as many as they had in their previous 21 games in the competition (W2 D5 L14) between the start of the 2025/26 season and the second half of the 2023/24 campaign. The Neroverdi could record two consecutive victories in Serie A for the first time since September 2023, under Alessio Dionisi.
