Vonovia Ruhrstadion - Bochum
VfL Bochum haven't beaten any other side as often in the Bundesliga as they have Eintracht Frankfurt (25 times), losing just one of their top-flight home games against the Eagles since 2000 (2-1 in March 2010; otherwise W6, D2). However, VfL conceded seven goals in a single Bundesliga game against SGE for the first time in the reverse fixture earlier this season (7-2 A).
VfL Bochum have won two of their last four Bundesliga games (D1, L1), as many victories as in their previous 23 top-flight matches combined. Excluding the win over Union Berlin that was later awarded to them, VfL could now record back-to-back victories for the first time in the Bundesliga this term.
Eintracht Frankfurt have lost each of their last three Bundesliga games, the longest ongoing losing run of any side currently in the division, as well as the Eagles' longest such streak under Dino Toppmöller (last L3 in February 2022). The Eagles had suffered just four defeats across the first 22 matchdays of the season.
Following their 3-2 win at FC Bayern last time out, VfL Bochum could now win back-to-back games against sides in the top four for just the second time in their history. They have previously only ever managed this in February 2004 against Bayern (2nd at the time, 1-0 H) and Leverkusen (4th, 3-1 A).
Eintracht Frankfurt have scored 51 Bundesliga goals this season, the third most after FC Bayern (74) and Bayer Leverkusen (55). SGE last found the back of the net as often at this stage of a top-flight campaign in 1981/82 (61 goals). VfL Bochum have the highest Expected Goals Against value in the division (51 xGA).
