Werder Bremen have won just one of their last 10 Bundesliga games against Eintracht Frankfurt (2-1 H in February 2021, otherwise D5, L4) and are still winless against the Eagles under Ole Werner (D2, L3). SVW also haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 15 top-flight meetings with Frankfurt (most recently in a 1-0 home win in May 2016).
Werder Bremen have 36 points after 27 matchdays following their 3-0 win at Holstein Kiel – they have only been better off once in their last 11 Bundesliga seasons (42 points in 2018/19). Werder have only recorded back-to-back victories once before this season, however, winning three straight games in December 2024.
Eintracht Frankfurt’s current points tally (48) is already better than their haul from the whole of last season (47) with seven games to spare. The 1-0 win over VfB Stuttgart was SGE’s 14th Bundesliga victory of the campaign – they’ve never recorded more after 27 games (also 14 in 1979/89 and 2018/19).
Werder Bremen have lost each of their last three Bundesliga home games, their longest run in almost two years (4 straight home defeats from March to May 2023). They have lost four of their five home fixtures in the second half of the season (W1), twice as many as in the whole of the first half of the campaign.
Eintracht Frankfurt have won three of their last five Bundesliga Saturday night fixtures (D1, L1), as many as in their previous 29 games in the primetime slot. Those three wins include a 1-0 home victory over Werder Bremen in this season’s reverse fixture.
