Wolves have failed to win any of their opening 10 games of a league season (D3 L7) for only the third time in their history, after 1926-27 (10) and 1983-84 (14).
Crystal Palace have failed to win any of their last four Premier League matches against sides starting the day in the relegation zone (D3 L1), this despite taking the lead in all four of those games.
This was the second Premier League game this season to be goalless at half-time but then see both sides score at least twice in the second half, after Everton 2-3 Bournemouth in August.
All six Premier League games between Wolves and Crystal Palace at Molineux have been won by a two-goal margin – Wolves’ three wins have all be 2-0, while the Eagles have won 2-0 twice and 3-1 once.
Crystal Palace have won six of their last seven Premier League games against Wolves (L1), as many wins as they’d managed in their previous 20 league matches against them (D4 L10).
Wolverhampton Wanderers are winless in nine Premier League games this season (D2 L7). They’ve only had a longer winless start to a top-flight season once, going 14 games in 1983-84.
Crystal Palace’s Premier League games this season have seen the fewest goals of any side (6 for, 11 against), while Wolves’ games have seen the most goals (37). Palace’s last three games have all ended 1-0 (W1 L2), while Wolves haven’t had a game end 1-0 since April against Bournemouth.
Wolves have conceded 25 goals in nine Premier League games this season, just the third side to ship 25+ at this stage of a campaign along with Southampton in 2012-13 (26) and Fulham in 2018-19 (25).
